The workshop is open to all high school age youth: in high school, entering, or having just graduated. No prior Shakespeare or theater experience necessary, just an adventurous spirit and willingness to play!
We play games together, practice Shakespearean style, learn scenes and explore our creative voices by devising original scenes in response to the play material. This year we'll have fun playing with Shakespeare's ghostly tragedy, Macbeth.
Workshop sessions are on the FPU campus (weeks 1-3). The workshop ends with a performance on the Festival Stage in Woodward Park (week 4).
June 16 - July 9, 2014. The workshop meets Mondays-Thursdays, 10-3 pm (lunch provided) during weeks 1-3. In week 4, we meet for three evenings, 6-9 pm in Woodward Park: Technical Rehearsals (Monday-Tuesday) and Performance (Wednesday). Family, friends and community are invited to the July 9 performance at 7:30 pm.
