"I can no other answer make but thanks,
And thanks, and ever thanks."
~Sebastian, in Twelfth Night
WSF could not pursue its mission of making Shakespeare
available and accessible to members of our community
without its generous patrons.

We would like to thank Michael Wayne Braa
and his family for a recent generous gift.
"I have done my best to open this world to my children hoping someday they too will take their own journey. Still, there is only so much a Father or an Educator can do. That is why organizations like the Woodward Shakespeare Festival are so important. You bring words to life. From the black and white text, you bring color, sound, personality, and context. More importantly, you show us we have the freedom to interpret and imagine.
"From a single volume, about the size of a dictionary, we can hold all of the words ever printed by [Shakespeare.] Yet once that book is opened and placed in the caring hands of otherwise ordinary (although often extraordinary) people, an entire Universe unfolds before us. No amount...is just compensation for what WSF has given me. As witness to the work, dedication, and camradery (not forgetting the occasional fisticuffs) that goes into the production of a performance-I can say without reservation no amount is just compensation."
